Department: Radiology

Duties & Responsibilities:

To provide specialized musculoskeletal imaging interpretation and interventions, with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. This full-time musculoskeletal radiology position will include training residents and fellows within an academic radiology department. 

  • Clinical: Provide high quality subspecialized musculoskeletal imaging interpretations in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS. Responsibilities will include interpretations of musculoskeletal radiology images (radiographs, US, CT, MR) and performing musculoskeletal interventions.
  • Teaching: Provide training to medical students, residents, and fellows that rotate through the Department of Radiology.
  • Research: Professional relationships established with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery to foster interdisciplinary research.

 Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respected, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff or students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
  • Applicants should be ABR certified or have passed the Core Component of the ABR Board Examination
  • Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Virginia medical license
  • Candidates must be eligible for permanent employment in the USA

  • Interest in performing interventional procedures
  • Interest in clinical research

Salary Range: Commensurate
