Duties & Responsibilities:

To provide abdominal imaging interpretations, including abdominopelvic CT, MR, US, and GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. 

  1. Clinical-Provide high quality abdominal imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS.  Responsibilities include conventional radiographs, abdominopelvic CT, abdominopelvic MR, US and fluoroscopy procedures. Work closely with providers in primary care, gastroenterology, hepatology, oncology, nephrology, urology, surgical oncology, OB/ GYN, bariatric surgery, trauma, transplant, and general surgery, providing a high level of subspecialty expertise with the most advanced imaging options
  2. Teaching-Provide training to medical students, residents & fellows who rotate through the Department of Radiology
  3. Research-Continue to promote professional relationships and work closely with Surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, Radiation Oncology and other departments/divisions to foster interdisciplinary research

 Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • ABR certification or documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination
  • Fellowship trained in Abdominal imaging
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Virginia medical license
  • Candidates be eligible for permanent employment in the USA
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff,    and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong clinical background in imaging

Salary Range: Commensurate
