Typical Duties

Teaching will occur in the entry-level doctor of physical therapy program within one or more of the four physical therapy practice patterns course sequence: cardiovascular and pulmonary, integumentary, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current Virginia Physical Therapy License.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of professionalism, respect, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of clinical experience in the desired physical therapy practice area.
  • Teaching experience within a physical therapy program in the content area(s) of need.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
