The Quality Assurance Interviewer is required to attend online and in-person interviewer training events and schedule interviews required for quality assurance. Interviewers are expected to perform the following job responsibilities:
• Utilize their personal or VCU acceptable alternative option for phone and internet service for all communications related to this job including sharing a contact number with participants and other VCU staff members
• Obtain consent for participation in interview which may include communicating with legal guardians
• Communicate with disability service providers to schedule and conduct interviews
• Conduct interviews via videoconferencing and phone with people with disabilities who use Home and Community Based Services and/or long term services and supports in Virginia
• Document all activities and survey results in online databases
• Use an online timekeeping system consistently and accurately
• Respond to communications with project staff in a timely manner
• Communicate issues with project staff immediately
• Potentially include some in-person interviewing and travel using personal transportation
• Conduct similar job responsibilities on other projects as assigned which may require additional work hours that cannot exceed an average of 29 hours per week
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
 Consistent and reliable access to a phone and internet service
• Provide a phone number that can be shared with the public and other VCU staff members or use the VCU acceptable alternative option
• Effective oral and written communication skills that involve describing and promoting quality initiatives in the state which at times may feel as if you are conducting a ‘cold call’
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Self-initiation with the ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work responsibilities to meet deadlines and goals
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately and with discretion
• Proficiency using Email, Microsoft Word and a computer
• General knowledge of Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and ability to work toward common goals as part of a team
• Provide reliable transportation to conduct in-person interviews or attend meetings as needed
• Must be able to work 9am – 5pm M-F; with some nights and weekends as requested by the project supervisor and based on project needs.
• Work a minimum of 20 hours weekly to meet work goals not exceeding 29 hours per week on average. However, during peak times, management reserves the right to request employees to work more hours with advanced notification
Experience with data entry
 
Preferred Requirements:
 • Knowledge and experience with people with disabilities
• Knowledge and experience with the National Core Indicators surveys
• Knowledge of Virginia’s disability services system (i.e. the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Medical Assistance Services, Managed Care Organizations, and Long Term Services and Supports)
• Working knowledge of how to schedule and administer Zoom meetings
• Proficiency with Google Suite products (i.e. Gmail, google docs etc.)
• Four-year college degree or three years of work experience in a human services related field
• Experience with interviewing
