A Laboratory Technician position is available in Dr. Xuewei Wang’s lab in the Department of Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Research areas in the Wang lab include chemical sensors and drug delivery.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct chemistry and/or cell/bacteria experiments under the guidance of the lab PI and senior group members. Depending on the level of contribution, the technician is typically granted authorship on resulting publications. Hourly rate will be based on the qualifications, experiences, and skillsets of the selected candidate.

Required Qualifications

Chemistry or biology or microbiology major or experience in related areas.

Ability to collect and organize data in a reliable and efficient way.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

Wet lab experience or cell/bacteria culturing experience.
