Department Summary: The Department of Radiation Sciences welcomes you! We offer B.S. in Clinical Radiation Sciences with concentrations in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, Radiography, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. As Virginia's only B.S. program with content specific to all modalities, you have the opportunity to prepare for the technical and professional demands of the 21st century.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The College of Health Professions is recruiting for adjunct faculty members to teach Fall cardiac sonography course. Job duties include:

  • Preparing and delivering lectures in personand online (as needed).
  • Preparing, assigning, and grading homework/classwork and exams/quizzes.
  • Holding office hours and answering student questions.
  • Utilize Canvas as the learning system.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or expert knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Prior collegiate teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach in person as well as use Canvas learning system.
  • Graduate degree and certification by any of the following: ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of professionalism, respect, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant academic experience.

Salary Range: $4,000+ (commensurate with experience)
