Department: Master of Decision Analytics Weekend Program

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Master of Decision Analytics Weekend Program in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants on an ongoing basis for possible adjunct teaching positions. Master of Decision Analytics Weekend Program is a cohort-based, accelerated master’s program for working professionals. The qualified candidate will teach courses in R, Python, and Data Mining, with the possibility of other topics as needed.

Should funding for such adjunct teaching positions become available, the Department will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in Decision Analytics as needed. These classes could be inclusive of all areas within the discipline.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A M.S. degree or higher to teach graduate level courses.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome.

Salary Range: $1,500 per credit hour, $500 per session
