Duties & Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities duties include, (but are not limited to): 

  • Facilitate the course objectives 
  • Meet all designated course instruction guidelines
  • Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
  • Submit final grades according to College and department policies

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an academic discipline
  • Community engagement experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College-level teaching experience
  • Familiarity with the Richmond community, including its history and key social issues

Salary Range:Minimum of $1,437 per credit hour

FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt

Hours per Week: 28
