Duties & Responsibilities:

Full-time faculty position in the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Section of Breast Imaging to provide specialized breast imaging interpretation including mammography (2D and 3D), US, MR and interventional procedures with state-of-the-art equipment. We work collaboratively with Massey Cancer Center in advancing awareness, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Clinical – Provide high quality, sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS
  • Teaching – Provide training to medical students, residents and fellows, who rotate through the Department of Radiology.
  • Research - Maintain professional relationships established with the VCU Massey Cancer Center to foster interdisciplinary research.
  • Service – Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities. This shall include college, school, and departmental committee work, professional growth, and other such assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Must be ABR certified/documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination

Must be breast imaging fellowship trained

Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA.

Under the direction of the Employer Development Manager, the Employer Development Coordinator will manage the recruitment database, coordinate the review/approval of new employers seeking to engage with VCU, and assist in developing and leading on-campus recruitment planning with particular emphasis on student-employer engagement.
